From Soil to Soul
Itsabear Farms is small family owned farm that sits on over 20 acres of rolling hills in Vanderbilt, PA and was formally established in 2023.
Our
Story...

Itsabear Farms was born from sitting around the kitchen table dreaming of establishing a farm. Founders Cortny and Scot came together with a mission to cultivate community where learning, nature, and good food bring people together - without barriers to accessibility.
With a background in education and creative eye, Cortny brings a love for teaching, photography, and storytelling to the farm. Scot, with his keen attention to detail and carptentry skills, ensures that every structure, space, and project is built with care and purpose. Together, they form the perfect balance of vision and craftsmanship, creating a farm that is both functional and full of heart.
At Itsabear Farms, we believe in slowing down, savoring the simple things, and fostering connections - with each other, with animals, and with the land. We're more than a farm; we're a community and we can't wait to welcome you into it.
In Loving Memory of Mango Bear
Some stories are so deeply woven into a place that they become part of its roots. Mango is one of those stories.
Mango Bear was more than our dog—she was joy in motion, a gentle spirit, and a constant presence in the moments that shaped our days. She had a way of entering a room with her whole heart, often barreling through the door, ready to be greeted with love and excitement.
“It’s a bear! Who’s a big brave bear? You are!”
Those words became a rhythm in our home, playful, comforting, and full of affection.
It was during one of those simple, ordinary moments sitting around the kitchen, dreaming about building a farm—that Mango came rushing in, just as she always did. And in that instant, Itsabear Farms was named. Not from a business plan, but from love, laughter, and a dog who made everything feel a little more alive.
In early January 2026, we unexpectedly lost Mango at just one year old. Though her time with us was far too short, the imprint she left is everlasting.
Mango is part of this land.
Part of this dream.
Part of every connection we hope to create here.
Her spirit lives on in the way we welcome others, in the joy we try to cultivate, and in the reminder to slow down and embrace the simple, meaningful moments.
At Itsabear Farms, when we speak of community, connection, and heart—Mango Bear is at the center of it all.
